Description |
Materials: make a detailed list of all the materials that will be used in your experiment. Include everything (even things that seem obvious), and include how much of each material you will need. For example, if you are testing which laundry detergent works best, don't just say "3 detergents," say "20 mL each of Tide detergent, Cheer detergent, and Target brand detergent."
Procedure: write a step-by-step guide to your experiment so someone with no knowledge of the project could replicate it exactly. Include things that seem obvious. For example, include steps for adding detergent to the washing machine and adjusting the settings. If you are doing the same thing multiple times and only changing one factor, such as the type of detergent, you may say "Repeat steps #6-10, replacing Tide detergent with Cheer detergent."
