    You can always return to the very front page of Ecto (where you log in) at any time by clicking the Ecto logo in the top left corner of the screen.

  • Dashboard

    You can return to your Dashboard (your personal profile page) at any time by clicking the DASHBOARD link located in the upper left corner of the screen. Another way to get home is by clicking on your user name in the upper right, where it says “Hello: (your user name).”

  • Getting from Screen to Screen

    The easiest and most effective way to move from screen to screen in Ecto is by using the navigation links at the top of the page. This type of navigation is known as “cookie crumb” navigation because it is displays a little trail of where you’ve been. Each page you’ve been to from your home page is an active link. Mouse over the link and it turns yellow. Click the link and you go there.

    In the example below, the trail shows that the user traveled from his group page "BIOLOGY1 - Course - Dr Beckto" to the group's FORUM area and then, specifically, to a message thread titled, Photosynthesis Discussion.
