However, I think RuneScape has the potential to reach its 30th anniversary because of the portable and Steam version have brought it to RS gold an entirely new audience. I'll certainly be there for the new adventures, particularly those that involve penguins, or Reworking the construction skill and, should I require an afternoon break, I can always go back to Old School RuneScape.
It's possible to play a game for 1000 hours, however that doesn't mean you enjoy the game. We've all seen that image of someone writing a negative Steam review, with more than 5000 hours in their account. Let's face it this isn't such an acceptable concept anymore.
I've put hundreds of hours in Fallout 4 and may have had fun with five hours. The remainder was just a matter of a promise of enjoyment, along with the bloody 'kill and loot then return' loop of gameplay fooling my brain into thinking it was enjoying itself. I've read your comments about Skyrim and how you've returned to it yet again. It's pathetic, all of us.
Then what's Old School RuneScape? I have no idea. It's generally easy to spot one of these games: they consume your life while you complain about it on the internet. But RuneScape is unique. When I'm not playing, I'm still not sure I have an opinion about the game. I simply get the music playing in my head and feel a pull that brings me back to cheap OSRS GP the music. Finding out it was not on my mobile was a mistake. My family hasn't heard from me in the past few days.
